The XS Sights DXT2 Big Dot is a tritium night sight system purpose-built for the Colt 1911 and compatible with enhanced barrels across all slide lengths. If you shoot a 1911 for home defense, duty, or sport—especially in low-light environments—these sights replace the factory irons with a combat-proven sight picture that works equally well in bright sunlight and total darkness. The defining feature is the large, easy-to-see front sight dot paired with a clean, uncluttered rear notch, letting you focus on the target rather than fussing with fine sight alignment.
At its core, the DXT2 uses tritium illumination in both front and rear sights, with a photoluminescent "glow dot" on the front that charges in ambient light and glows when it goes dark. The front sight measures 0.188" across—noticeably larger than stock 1911 sights—and features a high-contrast yellow ring around the tritium vial for daylight shooting. The rear sight houses a tritium center dot surrounded by a white outline, giving you a consistent aiming reference from dawn to midnight. The low-profile V-notch rear is designed to stay out of your sight picture, so your eye locks onto the front dot fast.
