The Winchester XPR Scope Combo in .30-06 Springfield pairs Winchester's no-nonsense bolt-action rifle with a Vortex Crossfire II 3-9x40 scope—a turnkey package for hunters and shooters who want to get afield without assembling parts or sourcing glass separately. The .30-06 Springfield remains one of the most versatile hunting cartridges ever built, equally at home on whitetail, elk, and long-range targets, while the Crossfire II delivers reliable magnification range and light gathering in a compact, proven design.
Built on a proven bolt action, the XPR handles recoil well for a rifle of its class and swings naturally in timber or from a bench. The 24-inch barrel strikes a practical balance between velocity and handling, and the matte blued finish paired with a matte black stock won't catch unwanted glint in the field. At 7 pounds 4 ounces, it's light enough for a full day of hunting but substantial enough to settle naturally behind the scope. The 1:10 twist rate is optimized for the range of bullets favored in .30-06 hunting loads, and the three-round capacity suits hunting applications across most terrain and seasons.
The included Vortex Crossfire II scope gets you on target without delay. This is a rifle-and-scope package designed for hunters and shooters who value simplicity: no hunting for compatible rings, no guessing whether the glass will hold zero, no wasted time before opening day. Whether you're new to centerfire rifles or adding a proven .30-06 to your safe, the Winchester XPR Scope Combo delivers everything needed to hunt effectively.

Frequently Asked Questions
What's included with the Winchester XPR Scope Combo?
The combo includes the Winchester XPR bolt-action rifle in .30-06 Springfield and a mounted Vortex Crossfire II 3-9x40 scope. The scope arrives mounted and ready to sight in—no additional optics purchases or ring selection needed.
Is the .30-06 Springfield good for hunting?
Yes. The .30-06 Springfield is one of the most widely used hunting cartridges in North America, effective on deer, elk, and other game across a wide range of distances. It's also popular for target shooting and long-range practice.
What does the 1:10 twist rate mean for ammunition selection?
The 1:10 twist is optimized for the range of bullet weights and designs commonly loaded for .30-06 hunting applications. Standard hunting ammunition will perform reliably with this twist rate.
How does the weight and barrel length affect shooting performance?
The 24-inch barrel provides good velocity for .30-06 loads while keeping overall length to 44.5 inches, making the rifle nimble in brush or from a vehicle. At 7 lb 4 oz, the weight is light enough for sustained hunting but heavy enough to manage recoil and settle naturally for accurate shooting from a rest or bench.
