The Winchester XPR left-hand bolt-action rifle in 6.8 WSM is purpose-built for the left-handed hunter who refuses to compromise on quality or value. Winchester took their legendary Model 70 design, refined the manufacturing process, and delivered a rifle that shoots straight, handles abuse, and doesn't break the bank. If you're a southpaw tired of adapting to right-hand ergonomics or settling for limited options, the XPR LH gives you a serious hunting rifle tailored to how you actually shoot.
The foundation of any accurate rifle is its barrel, and Winchester starts with solid chromoly steel bar stock. The XPR's barrel undergoes precise button-rifling—a process that simultaneously creates the rifling and burnishes the interior surface smooth. That burnished finish reduces bullet jacket fouling and helps push velocities higher while tightening groups. Every barrel is thermally stress-relieved to guarantee it stays true, and it's fully free-floated so it vibrates freely without contact pressure robbing you of accuracy. The result: a rifle capable of genuine hunting precision without requiring a premium price tag.
Winchester equipped the XPR with the same M.O.A. Trigger System found on their premium Model 70—a three-lever design with adjustable pull weight, zero creep, and zero overtravel. The left-hand receiver and oversize bolt handle put controls exactly where your dominant hand expects them. The composite stock grips secure even in wet conditions and handles field bumps without flinching, while the matte Perma-Cote finish on the receiver and barrel stays non-reflective and durable. A detachable box magazine lets you carry spares without jangling loose ammunition, and the rifle ships drilled and tapped for optic mounts so you can glass up quickly.
Whether you're stalking elk, sitting stand for whitetail, or punching targets at the range, the Winchester XPR LH in 6.8 WSM delivers the accuracy and reliability left-handed shooters deserve.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is the Winchester XPR LH a true left-hand rifle or just a mirrored right-hand design?
The XPR LH features a left-hand bolt, left-hand safety, and left-hand oversize bolt handle. It's built for left-handed shooters who want controls positioned naturally for their dominant hand.
What is 6.8 WSM and what game is it suitable for?
6.8 WSM (Winchester Short Magnum) is a potent centerfire cartridge. The facts provided don't specify recommended game or ballistic performance, so we recommend contacting us or consulting Winchester's ballistic data for your intended use.
Does the XPR come with a scope included?
The rifle ships drilled and tapped for scope mounts, but does not include an optic. You'll need to add a scope separately.
What's the advantage of the button-rifled barrel?
Button-rifling creates smooth, precise rifling and burnishes the interior surface during the process, which reduces bullet jacket fouling and increases velocity while improving accuracy. The barrel is also thermally stress-relieved and free-floated to eliminate pressure points that degrade precision.
