The Winchester SXP Black Shadow 20-gauge pump shotgun pairs a proven action with practical features for hunting and sport shooting. Built on Winchester's reliable SXP platform, this 26-inch barrel 20ga brings manageable recoil and quick target transitions to waterfowl, upland game, and clay shooting. The 3-inch chamber handles the full spectrum of factory ammunition—2¾", 3", and 3½" loads—plus steel, tungsten, bismuth, and lead shot, giving you flexibility in the field without changing guns. At 6 pounds 12 ounces with a composite stock and forearm, it's light enough for a full day's hunt and tough enough to handle wet, muddy, or rough conditions.
The matte black satin finish on the barrel and receiver minimizes glare that can spook wary birds, while the chrome-plated back-bored barrel optimizes pellet patterns and reduces fouling. Invector-Plus chokes let you tune your shot pattern for the birds and distances you're hunting—Full, Modified, and Improved Cylinder tubes are included. The simple brass bead sight gives you a reliable aiming reference for upland work or passing ducks, and the pump action cycles smoothly for fast follow-up shots when you need them.
If you're stepping into shotgun hunting, upgrading from an older gun, or looking for a no-frills workhorse that won't break the bank, the Black Shadow delivers Winchester's reputation for reliability in a trim, honest package. It's the kind of gun that earns its place in your truck or blind through years of dependable use, not flashy features.

Frequently Asked Questions
What ammunition does the Winchester SXP Black Shadow 20-gauge accept?
The 3-inch chamber handles 2¾-inch, 3-inch, and 3½-inch factory loads. It fires lead shot, steel, tungsten, and bismuth ammunition, giving you flexibility for waterfowl seasons with steel shot and upland hunting with lead without changing guns.
What chokes come with this 20-gauge shotgun?
Three Invector-Plus chokes are included: Full, Modified, and Improved Cylinder. You can swap them to adjust your pattern for different shooting distances and game.
Is the SXP Black Shadow good for hunting?
Yes. The 20-gauge is ideal for upland game like pheasant and quail, waterfowl hunting, and clay shooting. The 26-inch barrel balances handling and sight radius, the pump action provides quick follow-ups, and the composite stock handles wet or rough field use.
How does the matte black finish help in the field?
The non-glare matte satin finish on the barrel and receiver reduces reflections that can spook alert birds and game animals, helping you remain undetected during the critical moments before your shot.
