Winchester Long Beard Tungsten shotshells are purpose-built for turkey hunting, delivering the dense, hard-hitting patterns serious fowl hunters demand. This 20-gauge 3-inch load combines a 1-9/16 oz payload of 17g/cc tungsten shot with a velocity of 1100 fps—engineered to pattern tight and hit harder than traditional lead alternatives. Whether you're working public land or a tight property, this #8 shot load punches above its weight class in the turkey woods.
The tungsten shot material matters. Denser than lead and optimized for energy transfer, it maintains velocity downrange and delivers the knock-down you need when the moment counts. A buffered payload flows cleanly through any turkey choke—full, extra-full, or tighter—without flyers that waste pellets and leave wounded birds. That consistency means you get the dense, predictable pattern placement that separates successful hunts from frustrating ones.
This is ammunition for hunters who've done their homework: patterned their gun, trust their choke, and want no excuses in the field. The 5-count box gives you a working load for a day's hunt or practice session. Winchester backs this load on the reputation it's earned in the turkey woods—no frills, just performance.

Yes. The buffered payload is designed to flow smoothly through full, extra-full, and tighter chokes without creating flyers. Pattern your specific gun and choke before the season to verify performance.
Tungsten is denser than lead, so the same pellet count delivers more energy downrange. The 17g/cc tungsten in this load maintains velocity and striking force at distance, crucial for consistent, lethal hits on turkeys.
