The Winchester XPR rifle with scope combo in 450 Bushmaster is a factory-ready hunting package built for shooters who want serious stopping power without assembling optics and mounts from scratch. This bolt-action rifle comes paired with a Vortex Crossfire II 3-9x40 scope, Weaver-style rings and bases, and everything you need to get on target—no guesswork, no compatibility questions. The combo format is ideal for hunters stepping up to a modern intermediate cartridge or builders who prefer a complete, tested system.

The XPR's engineering focuses on reliability and repeatable accuracy. The receiver and bolt are machined from solid steel, with the bolt specifically crafted from chrome-moly bar stock and treated with a nickel Teflon coating that resists corrosion and cycles smoothly through seasons of hard use. A button-rifled, free-floated barrel with a recessed target crown delivers the precision you expect from Winchester, while the M.O.A. Trigger System provides clean, predictable breaks. Two-position thumb safety and a bolt unlock button keep operation intuitive in the field.

Ergonomics and comfort are built in: the black composite stock uses a sporter profile that works across body types, Inflex Technology recoil pad management helps tame the 450's recoil signature, and sling swivel studs come installed. The detachable box magazine keeps reloading fast, and the 24-inch barrel balances velocity with handling. Steel receiver and barrel wear a Perma-Cote black finish that's both functional and clean-looking in brush or timber.

Vortex stands behind the included Crossfire II with their full VIP warranty, so your glass is protected. If you're building a hunting rifle around 450 Bushmaster or want a plug-and-play combo that doesn't ask you to source parts individually, this Winchester package covers all the bases.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does this Winchester XPR combo come scope-ready, or do I need to zero it in myself?

The combo arrives with the Vortex Crossfire II 3-9x40 already mounted on Weaver-style rings and bases, so you're not assembling optics from separate parts. That said, you should always verify zero on your own at the range before hunting—every rifle and shooter combination is unique, and confirm zero is non-negotiable for safety and ethics.

What's included in the box with this rifle?

The package includes the Winchester XPR rifle, Vortex Crossfire II 3-9x40 scope, Weaver-style scope rings and bases, and detachable box magazine. Sling swivel studs are installed on the rifle. The Vortex Crossfire II carries Vortex's full VIP warranty. Sling, ammunition, and cleaning supplies are not included.

Is 450 Bushmaster a common hunting caliber, and what's it good for?

450 Bushmaster is an intermediate cartridge, designed to deliver stopping power at hunting ranges, particularly in states with caliber restrictions or for hunters who want a moderately-powered round. It's less common than traditional centerfire hunting calibers, so verify ammunition availability in your area before purchase. The Winchester XPR combo arrived as a 2024 SHOT Show special in this caliber.

How does the M.O.A. Trigger System feel, and can it be adjusted?

We don't have user-tuning specifications for the M.O.A. Trigger System on this rifle. Contact Winchester directly or consult your rifle manual for pull weight, adjustability, and safe handling guidelines.
