The Winchester SXP Waterfowl is a 12-gauge pump-action shotgun built for serious duck and goose hunters who demand reliability in wet, demanding conditions. This 26-inch barrel model combines proven mechanics with waterfowl-specific features: a hard chrome-plated chamber and bore for corrosion resistance, Realtree Timber camouflage finish for natural cover, and an aluminum alloy receiver that keeps weight down while maintaining strength. At 6 lbs 12 oz, it's nimble enough for a day in the marsh without sacrificing the stopping power waterfowlers expect.

The SXP's pump action is smooth and fast—critical when a flock cups into your decoys. It handles both 3-inch and 2¾-inch shells in the same chamber, giving you flexibility in shot selection and letting you work with whatever ammunition makes sense for your hunting situation. The 4-round magazine capacity feeds reliably, and the ventilated rib aids target acquisition in bright light.

Winchester packed this shotgun with practical waterfowl gear: three Invector-Plus choke tubes (including FMIC for modified constriction), a TruGlo fiber-optic front sight for low-light visibility, Inflex Technology recoil pad to tame felt recoil, and sling swivel studs for secure carry. The composite stock resists water damage and swelling, and the Timber finish blends into natural habitat without gloss or shine.

Whether you hunt coastal marshes, river systems, or freshwater impoundments, the SXP Waterfowl delivers the durability, handling, and features serious waterfowlers have trusted Winchester for decades.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will this shotgun cycle both 3-inch and 2¾-inch shells?

Yes. The SXP's 3-inch chamber safely handles and cycles both 3-inch magnum and standard 2¾-inch ammunition in the same chamber, so you can load based on your hunting situation without swapping barrels.

What choke tubes come with the SXP Waterfowl?

The shotgun includes three Invector-Plus choke tubes. One is marked FMIC (Full Modified Improved Cylinder equivalent), and two additional tubes allow you to dial in your shot pattern for different distances and cover conditions.

Is the composite stock weather-resistant?

Yes. The composite stock resists water absorption and won't swell or warp in wet conditions or temperature swings, making it ideal for marsh and waterfowl hunting where traditional wood would be at risk.

What does the hard chrome-plated chamber and bore protect against?

Hard chrome plating in the chamber and bore resists corrosion from moisture, salt spray, and the acidic residue of steel and waterfowl ammunition—critical for shotguns used in wet environments like coastal marshes and river systems.
