  • Lightweight and durable: Weighing just 5.4 lbs, the Weatherby Mkv Backcountry 2.0 is designed to be the lightest possible rifle without compromising on durability.
  • Enhanced recoil management: Featuring a second generation 3DHEX recoil pad, this rifle reduces the sharp kick of magnum chamberings, providing a more comfortable shooting experience.
  • Accurate and powerful: Built on the classic Weatherby Mark V action, this rifle is chambered in the powerful 240 Wby Mag caliber, making it a reliable choice for hunting and long-range shooting.

The Weatherby Mkv Backcountry 2.0 240Wby 26, the ultimate rifle for the adventurous marksman. Built on the legendary Mark V action, this next-generation Backcountry model boasts some impressive updates that will leave you in awe.

One of the standout features is the super thin and lightweight fluted barrel, available in either a #1 MOD or #2 MOD contour, depending on the chambering. But it doesn't stop there. The Backcountry 2.0 takes lightweight to a whole new level with the carbon fiber Peak 44 Blacktooth stock, weighing in at under 20 ounces. It's a true featherweight powerhouse.

But what sets this rifle apart is the second generation 3DHEX recoil pad. This innovative pad, the first of its kind in the firearms world, features interlocking voids that collapse during recoil, extending the time component and reducing the sharp kick of magnum chamberings. It's a game-changer for those seeking a smoother shooting experience.

The bolt body showcases more pronounced spiral fluting, reducing weight and enhancing function. And let's not forget the newly-threaded bolt handle, equipped with a lightweight aluminum extended and skeletonized knob. It's all about precision and ease of use.

To tame the recoil of magnum chamberings, the Backcountry 2.0 is fitted with Weatherby's highly-effective Accubrake ST. With 30 symmetrically-spaced ports, this brake harnesses the recoil and makes shooting even the most powerful cartridges a pleasure.

Weighing in at just 5.2 lbs (or 5.4 lbs for magnum chamberings), the Backcountry 2.0 is the epitome of lightweight design. Its Cerakote shell, in a striking Patriot Brown, protects the action and barrel, while the stock features a captivating brown and green pattern over exposed carbon fiber.

If you're in search of the lightest possible rifle, chambered in some of the world's fastest cartridges, look no further than the Weatherby Mkv Backcountry 2.0 240Wby 26. It's a worthy successor to the throne.
