The TriStar Viper G2 12-gauge semi-automatic shotgun in RT Max-7 camo is a gas-operated workhorse built for hunters who need reliable performance across a range of loads—from light target rounds to heavy waterfowl ammunition. With a 28-inch barrel and 3-inch chamber, this synthetic-stock shotgun balances swing and control for upland, waterfowl, and clay shooting. The gas operating system cycles everything you feed it without fussing, and the RT Max-7 finish blends seamlessly into field conditions.

Field ergonomics matter on a working shotgun, and the Viper G2 delivers. The fiber optic front sight tracks targets intuitively in low light; the ventilated rib with matted sight plane reduces glare and steadies your aim. A manual E-Z load magazine cut-off lets you switch loads without breaking down the gun, and the included shot plug keeps you legal for migratory bird seasons. Five-round magazine capacity handles most hunting and sport-shooting situations.

Versatility comes standard. The removable choke system uses Beretta/Benelli Mobile threads, so you're not locked into one shot pattern. Three tubes (Improved Cylinder, Modified, Full) ship with the gun, plus a wrench and storage box to keep them organized. The chrome-lined chamber and barrel resist corrosion and extend barrel life—important for a shotgun that'll see mud, rain, and hard use. Soft-touch synthetic furniture absorbs recoil and weather equally well, and a rubber recoil pad softens the inevitable kick.

TriStar backs the Viper G2 with a five-year warranty, reflecting confidence in the platform. If you're shopping for a do-it-all 12-gauge that won't nickel-and-dime you with picky feeding habits, the Viper G2 semi-auto earns consideration.

Frequently Asked Questions

What choke tubes are included, and can I use aftermarket chokes?

The Viper G2 ships with three Beretta/Benelli Mobile-pattern chokes: Improved Cylinder, Modified, and Full, plus a wrench and storage box. Since the shotgun uses Mobile threads, you can swap in any aftermarket chokes that match that standard—giving you flexibility to tune shot patterns for your hunting or sport-shooting needs.

Is this shotgun suitable for waterfowl and upland hunting?

Yes. The gas operating system is designed to cycle both light target loads and heavy waterfowl ammunition reliably, so you can shift between upland game and water birds without reliability concerns. The 28-inch barrel and 3-inch chamber support the range of loads typical for both hunts.

What's included in the box?

The Viper G2 comes with three choke tubes (IC, M, F), a choke wrench, a storage box for the tubes, and a shot plug. Shim kits are also standard, allowing you to adjust stock fit.

Does the gas system handle light loads well?

The gas-operated semi-automatic action is engineered to cycle both light target loads and heavy loads interchangeably without adjustment, so you won't face feeding or ejection issues moving between different ammunition power levels.
