The Traditions Outfitter G3 .44 Mag is a break-action single-shot rifle built for hunters who value accuracy, portability, and reliability in the field. Chambered in .44 Magnum with a 22-inch Lothar Walther Chromoly fluted barrel, this rifle delivers the precision you need for whitetail and large-game hunting without the weight penalty. At 5.8 lbs, it's nimble enough for all-day carries through brush and timber, making it an excellent choice for smaller-framed shooters and anyone who prefers a lightweight, maneuverable platform.
The real standout here is Traditions' new Elite XT trigger system. It features a rebounding hammer, captive half-cock, and manual cross-block safety—so you can break open the action, load, or unload with the safety engaged and visually confirm the chamber. That's practical safety and convenience. The barrel sports a premium CeraKote finish and an 11-degree target crown for tighter shot groups, while the drilled-and-tapped steel frame gives you room to customize optics and accessories down the road.
This model arrives ready to hunt: the included 3-9x40 scope comes factory-mounted and boresighted by a trained technician, so you're good to go straight out of the box. The 1:20 twist rate is optimized for .44 Mag ballistics, giving you the consistency you expect from a purpose-built hunting rifle.
