The Taylors & Company Chiappa Half Pint Sharps in .22 Hornet is a compact, historically inspired single-shot rifle built for precision shooters and varmint hunters who value authentic craftsmanship over modern conveniences. This 26-inch barreled Sharps delivers the timeless appeal of 19th-century design with practical features that make it a genuine working rifle, not just a collector's piece. The .22 Hornet cartridge is ideal for small game and predator control—efficient, relatively quiet, and accurate at moderate ranges when paired with quality optics.
Built on the Half Pint frame (a scaled-down Sharps action), this rifle combines case-hardened steel, blued barrel, and a walnut stock that feels solid in hand. The action is smooth and reliable, and the single-shot platform encourages disciplined, deliberate shooting. What sets this rifle apart is its practical setup: it arrives predrilled and tapped for optics, so you're not guessing about scope mount placement. The tang sight adds a traditional aiming option, and the double set triggers let you dial in the pull for precision work—lighter, crisper second stage for group shooting, or standard tension for hunting.
This is a rifle for shooters who understand that simplicity and mechanical excellence outlast trends. Whether you're zeroing in on varmints at 100 yards, setting up a dedicated .22 Hornet handload rig, or simply appreciating fine rifle engineering, the Half Pint Sharps rewards attention and skill.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is this rifle ready for a scope right out of the box?
Yes. The receiver is predrilled and tapped for optics, so you can mount a scope without any gunsmithing. You'll just need to install scope rings and bases that fit your rail or drilling pattern.
What does the .22 Hornet do well?
The .22 Hornet is a proven cartridge for varmints and small game—coyotes, fox, woodchucks, and similar-sized targets at moderate range. It's also popular among handloaders who appreciate its small case capacity and inherent accuracy potential.
Can I use just the tang sight without a scope?
Yes. The rifle comes with a tang sight, so you can shoot and hunt with iron sights alone if you prefer traditional aiming or want a lighter, simpler setup.
What do the double set triggers do?
Double set triggers let you adjust the pull weight and adjust the trigger for a lighter, crisper second stage, which helps with accuracy during precision shooting or reloading practice. You can also use them in standard mode without the adjustment feature.
