Taylors & Company 1873 Cattleman 357Mag Floral Engr Tt
- Caliber-Gauge:
- 357 Magnum
The Taylors & Company 1873 Cattleman .357 Magnum Floral Engraved Revolver brings classic single-action styling with a distinctive aesthetic twist—ideal for shooters who want a working revolver that's also a showcase piece. Built on a new-model forged frame with a white heat-treated steel finish, this .357 Magnum revolver combines authentic 1873 Cattleman ergonomics with artisan-level laser engraving and hand-chased floral detailing that sets it apart from plain-Jane alternatives without the premium price tag of heavily ornamented models.
This is a serious firearm dressed up for the gun cabinet. The 5.5-inch round barrel delivers the velocity and sight radius serious .357 shooters expect, while the six-round capacity covers most cylinders worth of precision work at the range or in the field. Fixed sights—a traditional front blade and rear frame notch—keep the design true to 1873 heritage and eliminate the bulk of adjustable systems. The walnut grips provide honest, period-correct ergonomics and warm aesthetics that complement the engraving work.
Whether you're a Cattleman collector, a handloader who appreciates .357 Magnum versatility, or someone building an heirloom-quality single-action battery, the floral engraving and hand-chasing elevate this revolver beyond base-model fare. At 2.50 lbs, it carries comfortably and handles naturally. The white heat-treated finish ages with character and resists corrosion like traditional blued steel, making this an investment piece that will function and look better as the years accumulate.

Frequently Asked Questions
What's the difference between this floral-engraved model and a standard Cattleman?
This version features laser-engraved and hand-chased floral detailing across the receiver and barrel, giving it a finished, collectible appearance. The standard Cattleman is plain by comparison. The engraving adds visual appeal without requiring the cost of fully custom embellishment.
Can I carry and shoot this revolver, or is it a safe queen?
It's a genuine working revolver built on a forged frame. The .357 Magnum caliber and 5.5-inch barrel make it suitable for target shooting or field use. The engraving is purely cosmetic and doesn't affect function. However, many owners display this model because of its appearance.
What ammunition does the .357 Magnum chamber accept?
The .357 Magnum cylinder safely fires both .357 Magnum and .38 Special cartridges. This versatility lets you reload or source practice ammo more easily and at lower cost if needed.
What finish is the white heat-treated steel, and how does it age?
White heat-treated steel is treated similarly to traditional blued steel in terms of corrosion resistance and appearance. It develops a patina over time and ages with character. Proper storage and occasional maintenance will preserve it like any heirloom firearm.
