The Taylors & Company 1866 Sporting .45 Colt lever action rifle brings authentic Wild West ergonomics and dependable rimfire power to hunters, sport shooters, and living-history enthusiasts. This Model 201D captures the spirit of the classic 1866 Winchester—a rifle that won the frontier and still works beautifully today. Chambered in .45 Colt, it pairs vintage lines with the cartridge reliability that built the American West.

Built for hunting medium game, plinking, and cowboy action shooting, this rifle feels natural in your hands. The 20-inch octagonal barrel balances quick handling with effective .45 Colt velocities, while the 10-round capacity keeps you in the field or on the range. A walnut straight-grip stock and forged brass frame deliver that unmistakable period look, and the blue barrel finish is classic without apology. At 7.59 pounds, it's light enough for a full day afield.

Sights are straightforward: an adjustable rear and front blade, giving you the fundamentals to dial in your load. No tactical rails, no polymer, no excuses—just a rifle that works the way it always has. The 38.87-inch overall length makes it maneuverable in brush and tight quarters, a genuine advantage when hunting timber or navigating ranch gates.
