The Taylors & Company 1860 Henry .45 Colt lever action rifle is a faithful reproduction of an American icon—the rifle that gave one man the firepower of fifteen. This Model 288 captures the spirit of the original Henry, with its elegant octagonal barrel, walnut stock, and period-correct brass frame and buttplate. Built for hunters, sport shooters, and living history enthusiasts who appreciate classic lever-gun handling and reliable .45 Colt performance, it combines historical authenticity with practical functionality.

The 24-inch octagonal barrel feeds into an integrated magazine tube that holds 13 rounds of .45 LC, letting you keep shooting without constant reloading—a genuine advantage in the field or at the range. The walnut furniture and blued barrel-and-brass finish give it the warm, worked-in aesthetic of a gun with a story, not a showpiece that demands a safe queen life. At just over 9 pounds and 43¾ inches overall, it balances well enough for extended hunting or trail carry.

Sights are kept simple: a rear ladder sight and front blade that let you dial in holdovers for different ranges, just as the original design intended. The lever action is smooth and forgiving—easy to work fast if you need to, but naturally suited to deliberate, accurate shooting. This isn't a tactical rifle; it's a tool built to remind you why lever guns have never gone out of style. Whether you're hunting deer, running a cowboy match, or just enjoying the mechanics of a truly legendary action, the Henry delivers the goods without pretense.
