The Taurus GX4 9mm pistol is a compact carry gun built for shooters who want practical features without unnecessary complexity. With a 3.7-inch barrel and single-action striker firing system, the GX4 delivers the kind of straightforward reliability that works equally well for concealed carry, duty use, or range training. You get two 15-round magazines right out of the box—serious capacity for a frame this size—plus thoughtful ergonomics that don't compromise on control.
What sets the GX4 apart in the compact 9mm category is attention to the details that matter in actual use. The flat-face serrated trigger and Taurus's signature recoil management pad (RMP) work together to tame felt recoil and help you stay consistent shot to shot. A visual loaded chamber indicator takes the guesswork out of status checks, and the serrated drift-adjustable rear sight lets you fine-tune zero without special tools. The reversible magazine release accommodates both right- and left-handed shooters, and the included backstrap options help you dial in grip comfort.
Build quality is solid: the slide is gas nitride-treated alloy steel, the barrel is DLC-coated for durability, and the frame is reinforced polymer. A Picatinny rail gives you the flexibility to add a light or laser if your carry or duty setup calls for it. At 21.51 ounces unloaded and just over 6 inches long, the GX4 balances firepower with carryability—compact enough to conceal, tough enough for regular training.
