The Taurus G3 full-size 9mm pistol is a reliable, shootable option for anyone looking for a duty-grade handgun or range workhorse without pretense. Built on a proven polymer-frame design, the G3 combines practical ergonomics with straightforward mechanics—no unnecessary bells, just solid engineering aimed at shooters who want to focus on their fundamentals. With a 4-inch barrel, 15- or 17-round magazine capacity (depending on which one you load), and a clean matte stainless slide paired with a black polymer frame, it's equally at home on the range, in training, or as a working sidearm.

The grip is where Taurus put real thought into the G3. Aggressive stippling patches give you sure purchase even when your hands are wet or gloved, while the ergonomic palm swell and side-frame Memory Pads guide your hand into a consistent grip—that kind of detail matters when you're shooting fast or under pressure. An integrated Picatinny rail lets you mount a light or laser if your use demands it. The manual safety and slide release sit where your thumb naturally expects them, making manipulation instinctive rather than something you have to think about.

The trigger is where the G3 earns some genuine respect. Taurus engineered a 6-pound pull with a smooth takeup and a crisp, clean break that feels considerably more refined than typical striker-fired pistols in this category. The short reset promotes rapid follow-up shots, and the single-action-with-restrike system means you can re-cock the striker and try again if a round doesn't fire—a proven reliability feature. You also get a loaded chamber indicator, striker block, and trigger safety as standard. Two magazines ship with it, so you're ready to load up right out of the box.

This is a full-size frame (7.28 inches overall length, 5.20 inches high) in a 24.83-ounce package—substantial enough to handle recoil management and deliver a predictable, controllable shooting experience without being a lead sled. The fixed white-dot front sight pairs with a serrated, drift-adjustable rear sight, giving you a straightforward sighting system you can tweak at the range if needed.
