The Taurus G3 full-size 9mm pistol combines proven design with practical features built for shooters who need a reliable, affordable duty or range gun. This striker-fired polymer-frame pistol feeds from a 17-round magazine, giving you serious capacity in a full-frame package. The Tenifer matte-black finish on the steel-alloy slide resists wear and corrosion—useful whether you're putting rounds downrange weekly or carrying in variable conditions.
The G3's ergonomic layout prioritizes control and speed. Generous stippling across the grip panels locks your hand in place under recoil, while the integrated palm swell and side-frame Memory Pads guide your shooting hand into consistent position every time. The manual safety and slide release lever sit naturally above the thumb for quick manipulation without shifting your grip. That matters in competition, training, or when it counts. The sighting system pairs a fixed white-dot steel front sight with a serrated, drift-adjustable rear sight—simple, durable, and easy to aim with in most light conditions.
The trigger is where Taurus made a real refinement on the G3. A 6-pound pull with smooth take-up and a crisp, clean break outperforms typical striker-fired performance in its class. The short reset lets you fire fast, controlled follow-up shots without breaking your sight picture. Add the Picatinny rail under the frame, and you can mount a light or laser if your mission demands it. The gun comes with two magazines, so you're ready to load up and train or carry right away.
If you're shopping a full-size 9mm pistol for concealed carry with a quality holster, home defense, range sessions, or as a second gun, the G3 delivers function without the premium price tag. It's built on a platform Taurus has proven across thousands of owners, and the steel-and-polymer construction keeps the weight down while the stainless-steel barrel handles high-volume shooting.
