The Taurus 856 .38 Special revolver is a compact, single-action/double-action wheelgun built for concealed carry, backup duty, or home defense. With a 2-inch barrel and six-round capacity, it delivers a point-and-shoot platform that doesn't demand a lot of real estate—whether you're carrying inside the waistband, in a pocket, or keeping one within arm's reach. The matte black finish resists glare and corrosion, and at 22 ounces, it's light enough for all-day carry without becoming a burden. This is a no-nonsense tool for shooters who value simplicity and proven reliability over bells and whistles.

The 856's small frame makes it natural pointer in hand, and the removable front sight blade lets you customize your sight picture or swap it if needed. Fixed rear sight keeps things dependable—no adjustments to creep loose in a duty or carry rotation. The walnut grip panel provides traditional handling and won't feel cold or slick in your hand. A transfer bar safety mechanism prevents accidental discharge if the gun is dropped, which matters when you're relying on a revolver as personal protection. Load it with .38 Special or step up to .38 Special +P ammunition for more horsepower if your shooting preference and training call for it.

Revolvers reward shooters who understand their simple, direct nature: pull the trigger, it goes bang, repeat six times. No fumbling with safeties, no magazine management, no what-ifs. The Taurus 856 brings that reliability to an affordable, portable package that works as hard as you do.
