The Taurus 1911 9mm is a full-size, single-action semi-automatic built on the proven 1911 platform but chambered for 9mm Luger—a smart choice for shooters who want classic 1911 ergonomics with softer recoil and lower ammunition costs. This isn't a cast-together budget gun; Taurus hand-fits and assembles each pistol with hammer-forged ordnance-grade steel frames, slides, and barrels. It comes ready to shoot, with Novak drift-adjustable sights front and rear and a firing pin block safety plus manual thumb safety for confidence on the range or in the field.

At 8.6 inches overall with a 5-inch barrel and tipping the scale at 42 ounces, the full-size frame delivers the classic 1911 handling characteristics serious shooters expect—solid, pointable, and reliable. The 9-round magazine capacity is par for a 1911 in this caliber, and the generous controls are accessible whether you run it in a competition setting, keep it ready for duty, or rely on it for personal protection.

If you've been curious about the 1911 but hesitated over cost or recoil, the Taurus 1911 9mm splits the difference: genuine 1911 DNA without the premium markup, paired with a round that's easier on your wrists and easier on your wallet. Right out of the box, it's combat-ready—no gunsmithing required.
