Talley Manufacturing Winchester Mod 70 Std & Short Mag La Picatinny Base 20 Moa
Talley Manufacturing
The Talley Manufacturing Winchester Model 70 scope base is a Picatinny-format mounting system built for Winchester Model 70 short action rifles produced after 2009. If you're mounting a modern optic to a post-2009 M70 short mag, this aluminum base gives you the foundation for a solid, repeatable zero. Talley's slot-based design lets you dial in your scope position front-to-back along the receiver, so you can find the eye relief and sight picture that works best for your setup and shooting style.
This base ships with 0 MOA elevation, meaning it's neutral—your scope does all the angle work. (If you want an angled platform for long-range hunting, Talley also makes a 20 MOA version separately.) The aluminum construction is stiff and lightweight, and the Picatinny top rail accepts both Picatinny and standard Weaver-pattern scope rings, so you've got flexibility in ring choice without sacrificing fit or repeatability.
Talley bases are known for holding zero across seasons and hard use. If you're building a Winchester M70 short action rifle—whether it's a general-purpose hunter, a tactical build, or a long-range platform—this is a no-fuss, no-frills mounting solution that gets out of the way and lets your rifle and optic do the work.

This base is designed for Winchester Model 70 short action rifles manufactured after 2009. If your rifle is a short action M70 from 2009 or later, it should fit. Long action M70s require a different base.
The Talley Winchester Model 70 base accepts both Picatinny-mount rings and standard Weaver-pattern rings, giving you broad compatibility with most common scope ring choices on the market.
This base comes with 0 MOA elevation, meaning the rail is flat with no upward angle. A 20 MOA base tilts the rail upward by 20 minutes of angle, which helps long-range shots print higher on target without maxing out your scope's elevation turret. Choose 0 MOA for general hunting and mid-range shooting; opt for 20 MOA if you're building a long-range rig and want extra elevation travel.
Yes. The Talley base includes multiple mounting slots, so you can shift your scope forward or backward along the receiver to dial in the eye relief and sight picture that works best for your shooting position and optic.
