The Strike Industries X-Comp Element C is a 9mm muzzle brake engineered for pistol caliber carbines (PCCs) with M18x1 RH threaded barrels. Built specifically for the CZ Scorpion EVO platform, this brake features smaller port cuts optimized for 9mm's faster propellant burn rate—gases expand sooner and in a smaller volume than rifle rounds, so the porting geometry is tuned to actually work at those velocities. That design philosophy means forward-directed gas pressure works opposite to recoil direction, helping you manage felt impulse and muzzle climb on follow-up shots.
The Element C ships with a Strike Industries jam nut (M18x1 RH) that makes installation and timing straightforward, whether you're running the factory CZ click-stop latch or upgrading to an aftermarket handguard. Direct fit on a CZ Scorpion EVO barrel retaining nut—no adapters needed for that platform. The brake itself is AISI 1144 steel, bead blasted and finished with a QPQ process for durability on the range and in the field.
Beyond the Scorpion, this brake plays well with other platforms. Pair it with a Strike X-Comp Thread Adapter Kit (sold separately) and you can run it on 1/2"-28 or 5/8"-24 threaded barrels—think KP-9, MPX, and other 9mm or rifle-caliber builds. The Element C is SI OPPRESSOR compatible, and it'll handle 9mm, .223, 5.56, .308, and 7.62, so one brake can follow you between builds if you change platforms. That versatility, combined with the tuned 9mm porting, makes this a solid choice for dedicated PCC shooters who want recoil control without guesswork.
