The Standard Manufacturing Switch Gun is a pocket-sized folding revolver engineered for personal protection in the most compact form factor possible. Chambered in .22 Long Rifle, this single-action revolver holds five rounds and folds down to roughly the size of a cell phone for pocket carry or drawer storage. Unlike conventional compact firearms, the Switch Gun combines genuine concealment with the handling qualities of a full-sized revolver—a rare balance in ultra-compact self-defense tools.
At its core, the Switch Gun solves a real problem: traditional pocket guns often sacrifice grip and control for size, forcing you to choose between concealability and shootability. This revolver doesn't make that compromise. The large polymer grip provides the same hand fill and trigger control you'd expect from a standard-frame handgun, letting you maintain accuracy and confidence under stress. The stainless steel frame and barrel are CNC machined for reliability, and the folding action is spring-actuated—a button press brings the gun to ready status instantly.
The trigger is fully protected when folded. The polymer grip completely encapsulates the trigger mechanism, eliminating the risk of accidental discharge during carry or storage. At 9 ounces loaded and 2.125 inches wide when folded, it's genuinely pocketable—no ankle holster, no shoulder rig, just deep concealment in your front pocket or a desk drawer. For anyone who wants backup protection, an ankle piece, or a last-ditch defense option that doesn't print, the Switch Gun delivers genuine capability in a footprint that disappears.
Legal note: This firearm is not currently legal for retail sale in California, Massachusetts, or Maryland. Check your local and state laws before purchase.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is the Switch Gun legal in my state?
The Switch Gun is not currently legal for sale in California, Massachusetts, or Maryland. Check your state and local firearms laws before ordering. We recommend contacting your local law enforcement or an attorney if you're unsure whether this firearm is permitted in your jurisdiction.
How does the trigger protection work when folded?
When the revolver is in its folded position, the large polymer grip fully encapsulates the trigger mechanism, physically preventing it from being pressed. This design eliminates accidental discharge risk during storage or pocket carry.
Can I carry this in a standard pocket holster?
At 2.125 inches wide and under 10 ounces loaded, the Switch Gun is genuinely pocket-sized. However, we recommend checking with holster manufacturers to confirm compatibility with this specific folding design, as standard holsters may not accommodate the folded profile or the spring-actuated opening mechanism.
What's the difference between the Switch Gun and a typical .22 LR backup gun?
The Switch Gun's defining feature is its folding form factor combined with a full-sized grip. Most .22 LR pocket guns force you to accept either genuinely tiny handling or a gun too bulky for true pocket carry. The Switch Gun folds to phone-sized dimensions while preserving the large grip surface and control of a standard revolver, making it unique in its niche.
