The Standard Manufacturing 1911 .45 ACP 5" nickel-plated pistol is a modern interpretation of the legendary 1911 platform, built for shooters who demand both classic handling and contemporary precision. This is a serious sidearm for defensive carry, competition, or the range—a gun that respects the 1911's lineage while incorporating refinements that matter in real-world use.

The frame and slide are forged from 4140 carbon steel and CNC-machined to exacting tolerances, then finished in high-polished nickel on the flats with bead-blasted contours for a distinctive look that resists corrosion without sacrificing grip texture where it counts. The 5-inch stainless steel match-grade barrel and matching bushing deliver the accuracy expected from a serious 1911, while the lowered and flared ejection port ensures reliable feeding and ejection under demanding conditions. Rear slide serrations provide purchase for press-checks and manipulations, and the enhanced slide-to-frame fit tightens up lockup for consistent shot placement.

The ergonomics are thoroughly considered: an upswept beavertail grip safety and extended magazine release suit both carry and rapid reload work, while the checkered front strap and flat mainspring housing improve control. The fully machined extended tactical thumb safety and slide stop are robust and accessible. Sights are high-profile low-mount tactical units, suitable for duty or sport, and the medium solid match-grade trigger breaks at 4.5 pounds with a crisp, predictable release. The enhanced machined hammer completes a trigger assembly built for precision.

Whether you're a 1911 purist seeking a well-executed modern variant or a defensive shooter valuing proven ergonomics and reliability, the Standard Manufacturing nickel-plated .45 ACP offers the balance of tradition and refinement that keeps the 1911 relevant more than a century after its introduction.
