The SCCY Industries CPX-3 .380 ACP pistol is a compact, carry-ready handgun built for shooters who demand reliability without complexity. Chambered in .380 Auto with a 2.96" barrel, this double-action-only (DAO) design delivers straightforward operation and consistent trigger control—no manual safety to disengage under stress. At just 15 ounces with a polymer frame and stainless steel slide in two-tone black finish, the CPX-3 sits flat in a waistband holster or jacket pocket, making it an practical choice for everyday carry, backup duty, or backup gun roles where concealability matters.

Built on SCCY's Roebuck Quadlock recoil system, the CPX-3 absorbs felt recoil effectively for a gun this size, helping you stay on target through rapid follow-up shots. The 10+1 round capacity (10 in the magazine, plus one in the chamber) gives you reasonable firepower in a sub-6-inch overall length. Night sights standard on this model mean you're not fumbling for a flashlight in low-light defensive situations—aiming is fast and intuitive whether it's dusk in the parking lot or a basement confrontation. The 9-pound DAO trigger is designed to be manageable and predictable, with no external hammer to catch on clothing during the draw.

This is a no-frills pistol: it does one thing and does it well. If you're shopping for a deep-concealment .380 with fixed night sights and you're not interested in red-dot mounting or external safeties, the CPX-3 is worth a hard look. SCCY's reputation for value means you get a working carry gun without paying for features you won't use.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the CPX-3 small enough for pocket carry or deep concealment?

Yes. At 5.70" long, 1.10" wide, and just 15 ounces, the CPX-3 fits pocket holsters and ankle rigs comfortably. It's one of the smallest carry options in .380, making it popular for backup or deep-concealment roles.

Does the CPX-3 have a manual safety?

No. The CPX-3 is double-action-only with no external manual safety. Every trigger press is a full DAO cycle, making it simple and fast—there's nothing to disengage in a defensive situation.

What are the night sights and can I replace them?

The CPX-3 comes equipped with G-43 style night sights, which are fixed (non-adjustable). These sights are designed to glow in low light for faster target acquisition without a flashlight. They are replaceable by a qualified gunsmith if needed down the road.

Can I mount a red-dot sight on the CPX-3?

This model comes standard with night sights and does not have a red-dot ready mounting option. SCCY offers a red-dot-ready variant of the CPX-3 if you want to run an optic; this particular model is built for traditional sights.
