The SCCY Industries CPX-3 .380 ACP is a compact, lightweight pistol built for serious concealed carry. With a 3.1-inch barrel, slim 1.10-inch profile, and 15-ounce weight, it disappears into an IWB or appendix holster without printing. The double-action-only trigger delivers consistent break every shot, and night sights mean you can identify your target and sight picture in low light—a practical edge that matters when it counts. This is a no-frills defensive pistol: proven, reliable, and ready to work.

The CPX-3 couples a stainless steel slide with a polymer frame, keeping weight down while maintaining durability. SCCY's Roebuck Quadlock recoil system manages the .380's signature snap and keeps the gun controllable—important in a lightweight package where muzzle rise can matter. The 9-pound trigger pull is deliberate enough to prevent negligent discharge but smooth enough for consistent defensive shooting. Ten rounds in the magazine plus one in the chamber gives you solid capacity for a gun this size.

If you're shopping for an ultra-concealable backup gun, a deep-carry option for tight clothing, or your first defensive pistol in an efficient caliber, the CPX-3 checks the boxes: small enough to carry anywhere, reliable enough to trust your life to, and simple enough that there's nothing to fumble with under stress.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the CPX-3 really that concealable?

Yes. At 1.10 inches wide, 15 ounces, and 5.7 inches long, the CPX-3 is built for deep concealment. It fits in pocket holsters, IWB rigs at 4 o'clock, appendix carry, or even ankle backup setups without printing under most clothing. If you need a gun that truly disappears, this is one of the best options in its caliber class.

What does the double-action trigger mean for carry?

Double-action-only means every shot—first round and all follow-ups—requires the same 9-pound trigger pull. There's no safety lever to manipulate; you deploy, press the trigger, and fire. This simplicity under stress is why many defensive shooters prefer DAO guns. The tradeoff is a slightly heavier trigger than a single-action gun, but it's designed to be manageable in defensive shooting scenarios.

Are the night sights included?

Yes. The CPX-3 ships with night sights already installed, so you can shoot confidently in low light without adding optics or purchasing aftermarket sights.

What is .380 ACP good for?

The .380 ACP is a popular defensive round, especially in compact and ultralight pistols where recoil management and capacity matter. It's been carrying people reliably for over a century and remains a legitimate choice for concealed carry, backup, or deep-carry applications—particularly in a gun this small and light.
