The SCCY Industries CPX-1 is a compact 9mm hammer-fired pistol built for shooters who want a no-nonsense EDC option without the bulk or complexity. This third-generation CPX platform delivers the reliability and straightforward operation that makes it a solid choice for concealed carry, range sessions, or training. The two-tone stainless and blue finish gives it a professional, field-ready look that hides wear without shouting about it.

What sets the CPX-1 apart is its thoughtful design for real-world carry. Double-action-only operation with an external, ambidextrous manual safety means you get consistent trigger control and straightforward safety management—no levers to think about under stress. The 3.1-inch barrel strikes a balance between controllability and concealability; it's short enough to tuck away, long enough to manage recoil and sight radius without fighting the gun. The polymer frame keeps weight down at 15 ounces, so all-day carry won't wear you down. At just over an inch wide, it slips into a holster without printing.

The CPX-1 includes upgraded sights in G-43 style, giving you a clean sight picture right out of the box, and a Picatinny rail for mounting lights or lasers if your carry setup calls for it. The 10+1 capacity strikes a practical middle ground—not the deepest mag, but enough rounds to handle most defensive scenarios without adding significant grip length. The improved grip texture from this generation makes the gun more controllable, especially under recoil or when manipulating the safety.

This is a gun that works without asking for much—no manual safeties to disengage with your draw, no complicated takedown, just a proven platform that's been refined through three generations of field feedback.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the CPX-1 a good choice for concealed carry?

Yes. At 15 ounces with a 1.10-inch width and 3.1-inch barrel, the CPX-1 is purpose-built for EDC. The slim profile and compact dimensions make it easier to carry comfortably without printing, and the lightweight frame reduces fatigue during all-day wear.

Can I mount a red dot or light on this pistol?

The CPX-1 includes a Picatinny rail, so you can mount lights or lasers. A red-dot-ready variant is also available if you're looking to co-witness a micro red dot with the stock sights.

What does double-action-only mean for shooters new to this platform?

Double-action-only means every trigger press—from the first round to the last—requires the same trigger pull weight (9 pounds in the CPX-1's case). There's no separate cocking lever or single-action mode to manage. Combined with the external manual safety, this design minimizes user error and keeps the gun's operation predictable under stress.

How does the two-tone finish hold up to carry and use?

The stainless steel slide resists rust and corrosion, while the blue finish on the frame provides contrast and a professional look. The combination is practical for field use and concealed carry without requiring constant maintenance.
