The SCCY CPX-2 9mm pistol is a no-nonsense compact that punches above its weight for shooters who demand reliability without complexity. This third-generation CPX brings a hammer-fired double-action-only design to a sub-compact frame that fits comfortably in a holster or waistband, making it equally at home as a truck gun, backup, or first defensive handgun. Whether you're new to shooting or a seasoned carrier looking for a dependable beater gun, the CPX-2 delivers straightforward mechanics and proven durability in a lightweight package.
The 3.1-inch stainless steel slide pairs with a polymer frame to keep weight at just 15 ounces, and the 10+1 capacity strikes a practical balance between concealment and round count. The DAO trigger—breaking at 9 pounds—promotes consistent trigger control and eliminates the manual safety learning curve, a real advantage for first-time gun owners. New to this generation is the Picatinny rail, opening the door to mounting a light, laser, or other modern accessories without permanent modification.
Ergonomics matter on a gun you'll actually carry, and SCCY redesigned the grip profile to feel more natural in hand while staying slim enough for deep concealment. The G-43 style sights are no-frills but effective, and if you're a red-dot enthusiast, the red-dot-ready model gives you that option. The CPX-2 isn't flashy—it's built to work, day in and day out, without jamming up your wallet or your Sunday morning. For a compact 9mm that does exactly what it promises, this is solid iron.
