The Savage Arms Rascal Hardwood LH is a left-handed .22 LR rimfire rifle built for shooters who need a compact, honest-working small-caliber tool. At just 16.125 inches of barrel and 31.5 inches overall, this bolt-action .22 feels natural in smaller hands and tighter spaces—whether you're introducing a young shooter to the fundamentals, running rimfire drills at the range, or taking it afield for small game. The left-handed action puts the controls exactly where a southpaw shooter expects them, no compromise.
Savage doesn't overcomplicate the Rascal. You get a single-shot bolt action (capacity: 1 round), a satin-blued finish that resists corrosion without requiring constant fussing, and a brown synthetic stock that shrugs off weather and rough handling. The 1:16 twist is optimized for standard .22 S, L, and LR ammunition, so you can run whatever rimfire ammo works best for your purpose. Weighing just 2.66 pounds, it's light enough to carry all day but solid enough to shoot straight.
This is a rifle for people who value simplicity and reliability over bells and whistles. No rail, no adjustable features—just a straightforward single-shot that teaches you to make your rounds count. It's a natural choice for youth shooters, a dependable backup at the range, or anyone who appreciates a rimfire that does its job without fuss.
