The Savage Arms Mark I FVT left-handed .22LR bolt-action rifle is a purpose-built rimfire designed for shooters who want reliable precision in a compact, easy-to-handle platform. Built around a single-shot action with a 21-inch heavy carbon steel barrel, the Mark I FVT delivers the accuracy you'd expect from a Savage rimfire—ideal for target shooting, small-game hunting, or introducing new shooters to rifle fundamentals. The left-hand configuration puts controls exactly where a southpaw needs them, so you're not fighting an ergonomic compromise.

What sets this rifle apart is Savage's user-adjustable AccuTrigger technology. Unlike a fixed trigger, the AccuTrigger lets you dial in the exact pull weight and crispness that works for your hand and shooting style—a serious feature usually found on higher-end platforms. Combined with the button-rifled heavy barrel and 1-in-16 twist rate, that adjustable trigger gives you real accuracy potential for both casual shooting and competition.

The gun wears a matte black synthetic stock and blued carbon steel receiver and barrel, a practical, low-maintenance finish that stands up to handling and won't distract from the shooting. At 5.25 pounds with an 11.9-inch length of pull, the Mark I FVT stays nimble and proportional—easy to shoulder and control. Adjustable peep sights come standard, giving you a traditional, parallax-free sighting system that's tough and accurate for rimfire work.

This is a no-frills, honest rifle for .22LR shooters who value precision, customization, and a design that actually works for left-handed shooters instead of being an afterthought.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this rifle truly designed for left-handed shooters?

Yes. The bolt, safety, and magazine release are all configured for left-hand operation. This isn't an ambidextrous adaptation—it's a purpose-built left-hand rifle, so you won't have to contort yourself to operate it.

Can I adjust the AccuTrigger myself?

The AccuTrigger is user-adjustable, meaning you can customize the trigger pull weight to suit your preference. This lets you dial it to exactly the feel you want without sending it back to the factory.

What is this rifle best suited for?

The Mark I FVT works well for target shooting, small-game hunting, precision rimfire competition, and introducing shooters to rifle mechanics. The adjustable trigger and heavy barrel emphasize accuracy, and the single-shot platform keeps things simple and reliable.

What sights come on this rifle?

The Mark I FVT ships with adjustable peep sights, a classic, durable sighting system ideal for rimfire shooting. Peep sights are naturally parallax-free and work well at typical .22LR distances.
