The Savage Arms 64 FV-SR is a straightforward semi-automatic .22 LR rifle built for varmint shooters, small-game hunters, and rimfire enthusiasts who want a reliable, no-frills platform that actually works. This is a working rifle: 16.5-inch barrel, straight blowback action, 10-round capacity, and a 1:16 rifling twist rated for standard .22 LR ammunition. Matte black synthetic furniture sheds weather and abuse without fuss, and the single-piece scope rail gives you flexibility to mount optics or keep it iron-sight ready.

At 5 pounds, the 64 FV-SR is light enough for a full day of varmint control or plinking across your property. The semi-auto cycle means less shooter fatigue than a bolt gun, and 10 rounds per magazine keeps you fed without magazine changes between strings. The straight blowback design is proven and durable—no piston or complex gas tube to maintain. This isn't a tack-driver by design; it's a practical tool for culling gophers, controlling predators, or teaching someone to shoot without breaking the bank.

If you're looking for a dependable .22 rimfire semi-auto that prioritizes function over flash, the Savage 64 FV-SR delivers. Pair it with a red-dot or low-power scope via the accessory rail and you've got a compact, handy rig that handles almost any small-scale shooting task.
