The Savage 93 FV .22 WMR bolt-action rifle is a precision small-game and varmint gun built on proven Savage accuracy at a price that won't empty your wallet. Model 93200 pairs a satin blued 21-inch barrel with a matte black synthetic stock—a no-nonsense, weather-resistant combo that handles field use without flinching. At 6 pounds, it's light enough to carry all day and solid enough to shoot tight groups when it matters.

The .22 WMR (Winchester Magnum Rimfire) punches well above the standard .22 LR for varmint work, prairie dogs, and small game where you need a bit more range and energy without jumping to centerfire. The 1:16 barrel twist is optimized for standard .22 WMR loads, and the 5-round magazine keeps you in the field between reloads. The bolt-action mechanism is reliable, straightforward to maintain, and inherently accurate—the kind of rifle that rewards good shooting technique.

This is the rifle for shooters who value function over flash: hunters after rabbit and squirrel, landowners managing varmints, or anyone building a solid small-caliber rifle collection. The synthetic stock doesn't absorb weather, the blued barrel stands up to field conditions, and the overall length of 39.75 inches keeps things handy in brush and truck racks. If you want a dependable, accurate .22 WMR without marketing hype, the Savage 93 FV delivers.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the Savage 93 FV best used for?

The .22 WMR cartridge and 21-inch barrel make this rifle well-suited for small-game hunting (rabbits, squirrels), varmint control, and target shooting. The bolt-action design and optimized barrel twist deliver the accuracy needed for precise shot placement at useful rimfire distances.

Is the synthetic stock weather-resistant?

Yes. The matte black synthetic stock doesn't absorb moisture or swell like wood, making it ideal for hunters and shooters who spend time in damp conditions. The satin blued barrel also resists corrosion in field use.

What's the magazine capacity?

The Savage 93 FV ships with a 5-round magazine, which is standard for most .22 WMR bolt-action rifles and keeps you in the field without constant reloads for typical small-game and varmint work.

How much does it weigh and is it easy to carry?

At 6 pounds with a compact overall length of 39.75 inches, the Model 93200 is lightweight and handy for all-day hunting or field work. It stows easily in rifle racks, packs, and vehicles without fatigue.
