The Rossi RS22 semi-auto rifle in .22 WMR delivers legitimate reach and quick follow-up shots for small-game hunting and precision target work. Where standard .22 LR rimfires tap out, the .22 Magnum round extends your effective range and energy—ideal if you're stepping up from a basic plinker but want to stay nimble and affordable. At 5.6 pounds, this gray polymer and matte-black rifle handles like a natural pointer in the field, and the 21-inch barrel strikes a practical balance between velocity and handling. Semi-auto operation means faster repeat shots on varmints or reactive targets, and the factory-installed Picatinny rail puts you on optics immediately without guessing on mounting or drilling.
The RS22 feeds from a single 10-round magazine and breaks down into manageable, pack-friendly dimensions (39 inches overall). Build quality is solid—alloy-steel barrel and frame in matte black withstand field use—and the cross-bolt trigger safety keeps things secure during carry and handling. This is a rifle that does one job very well: deliver affordable, semi-auto .22 Magnum performance without unnecessary frills or weight penalty.

Frequently Asked Questions
What makes .22 WMR better than standard .22 LR for hunting?
.22 Magnum offers significantly more velocity and energy than .22 LR, extending your effective range on small game like rabbits, squirrels, and varmints while delivering cleaner, faster kills. You'll notice the difference especially at distance or on tougher targets.
Can I mount an optic on the RS22 right out of the box?
Yes. The rifle ships with a factory-installed Picatinny rail, so you can mount a compatible scope or red-dot sight immediately without additional adapters or gunsmithing.
What's included in the box?
The RS22 comes with one 10-round magazine. You'll want to pick up extra magazines for extended shooting sessions or field use.
Is the RS22 light enough for extended field carry?
At 5.6 pounds unloaded, yes—it's nimble and balanced for all-day hunting or target trips without fatigue. The compact 39-inch overall length makes it easy to handle in brush and tight spaces too.
