The Rossi RB22 .22LR bolt-action rifle is a compact, lightweight option built for shooters who value portability without sacrificing reliability. Chambered in .22 LR, this rifle works equally well for plinking, pest control, training new shooters, or introducing younger hunters to marksmanship fundamentals. The 18-inch barrel and synthetic stock keep weight and length manageable, making it easy to carry through brush or store in tight spaces—ideal whether you're working around the ranch, heading to the range, or teaching someone their first rifle skills.

The RB22 features a straightforward bolt-action design with a cross-bolt safety, paired with adjustable fiber-optic sights that work in most lighting conditions. The matte-black finish on both barrel and aluminum-alloy frame resists glare and keeps things business-like in appearance. Ten-round capacity gives you a practical mag for practice and small-game work without excess bulk.

Built on a polymer synthetic stock in cyan, the RB22 sheds the maintenance burden of wood and stands up to hard use in the field. The 1:16 RH twist rifling is optimized for standard .22 LR ammunition, and the 6-groove barrel delivers the accuracy you'd expect from a purpose-built rimfire. At just 3.25 pounds unloaded, this is a rifle that doesn't fatigue the shooter during longer sessions—a real benefit whether you're zeroing in a new hunting position or running through repetition drills with an inexperienced marksman.

If you're after an honest, uncomplicated .22 LR that handles well, costs less to feed than centerfire options, and makes training accessible, the Rossi RB22 delivers solid performance without the frills.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the Rossi RB22 a good rifle for training new shooters?

Yes. The .22 LR cartridge produces minimal recoil and muzzle rise, making it ideal for teaching proper fundamentals without flinch development. The lightweight design and compact size also make it manageable for younger or smaller-framed shooters, while the adjustable sights let you dial in accuracy as skills improve.

What's included with the rifle?

The RB22 comes with one 10-round magazine. No optics or additional accessories are included; the rifle ships with its factory fiber-optic sights installed.

Can I use the RB22 for pest or varmint control?

Yes. The .22 LR is a proven round for pest control on small game and varmints at practical range. The 18-inch barrel and adjustable sights provide the accuracy needed for precision shot placement in those applications.

Is the synthetic stock durable for field use?

The polymer stock is designed to withstand hard use and resists weathering better than wood. It requires minimal maintenance and won't swell, shrink, or crack due to moisture or temperature changes—a practical choice if you're using the rifle in varied outdoor conditions.
