The Rock Island Armory TM22 Featherweight is a lightweight .22LR rifle built for shooters who want a modern platform without the bulk. At just under 5 pounds with an 18-inch barrel, this semi-automatic .22 delivers the kind of handling you'd expect from a rifle that prioritizes portability—whether you're teaching a new shooter, running steel matches, or just heading out for a day of rimfire fun. The TM22 Featherweight pairs contemporary ergonomics with AR-type controls, so if you're already familiar with the modern rifle platform, you'll feel at home behind this one.
Rock Island built this rifle with polymer furniture and an adjustable stock, keeping weight down without cutting corners on function. The 36.5-inch overall length makes it nimble in the field or around the range, and the front bead sight and top Picatinny rail give you a solid foundation for iron sight shooting or optics mounting. The 10-round polymer magazines ship with the rifle, and the platform accepts aftermarket 15-round and 25-round magazines if you want more on-tap capacity.
The AR-pattern grip and commercial buffer tube adapter compatibility mean the TM22 Featherweight works with a huge ecosystem of existing parts and accessories. If you've got spare furniture or upgrades lying around from another AR build, there's a good chance you can put them to work here. It's a rifle that grows with your needs, whether you're building out your first .22 or adding a training tool to an already-stocked safe.
