The Remington Express XLR Upland 20 gauge shotshell is purpose-built for hunters chasing roosters, quail, and other upland birds where lighter recoil and responsive handling matter as much as clean kills. Loaded with 1 ounce of #6 shot in a 2.75" hull, this load delivers the pattern density and energy needed for consistent performance on upland game without the punishing recoil of heavier 12 gauge loads. It's the kind of round that keeps you sharp through a full day of walking behind pointers or over open country.

These shells feature copper-plated pellets and Remington's Power-Piston 1-piece wad design, which work together to tighten your shot pattern and improve consistency across distances. That matters when you're reading wind, judging lead, and converting opportunities into birds in the bag. Whether you're a seasoned upland hunter or new to the discipline, Express XLR rounds give you ammunition you can trust in the field.

Each box contains 25 rounds, so you'll have enough for a solid day of hunting or practice. If you run a 20 gauge for upland work—whether it's your sole shotgun or one of several in the cabinet—Remington Express XLR 20 gauge ammo deserves a spot in your truck bed and gun bag.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will these 20 gauge shells work in my shotgun?

These are standard 2.75" 20 gauge shells. They will load in any 20 gauge shotgun chambered for 2.75" or longer. If your 20 gauge is chambered for 3" magnum shells only, these will not function properly—check your gun's chamber marking to be sure.

What's #6 shot best used for?

Number 6 shot is a versatile upland load. It's commonly used for pheasant, quail, grouse, woodcock, and other upland birds, as well as rabbits and light small game. The pellet size balances pattern density with striking energy at typical upland hunting distances.

How many shells come in a box?

Each box contains 25 rounds.

What's included in the box?

The box contains 25 loaded shotshells. Shipping, reloading components, or additional accessories are not included.
