The Rapala DT Series 6' 3/8 2" Blue Shad is a balsa crankbait built to get down fast and stay in the strike zone longer than conventional diving lures. Rapala mills these from premium balsa wood—the top seven percent of the harvest—then balances each lure with internal weights positioned to create a nose-down rest position. That design means the bait is already descending the instant it hits the water, and the ultra-thin polycarbonate lip digs aggressively to pull it deeper. The tapered fuselage and thin tail generate the side-to-side wobble that only balsa crankbaits can deliver, a subtle but deadly action in clear to moderately stained water. The Blue Shad finish is a natural baitfish pattern suited to a range of conditions and gamefish. An internal baritone rattle provides acoustic attraction tuned for optimal performance.
