The Mossberg SA-410 Field is a 26-inch semi-auto shotgun built for hunters and sport shooters who want a lightweight, fast-handling gun in the nimble .410 bore. With its compact 46-inch overall length and 6.5-pound weight, this gun swings fast through thick cover and won't wear you down on a long day in the field. The 3-inch chamber handles standard and magnum .410 loads, giving you flexibility in shot selection for upland game, small game, and clay shooting.
The ventilated rib barrel sits atop a matte blued steel receiver, keeping glint out of the equation while the synthetic black furniture resists weather and abuse. A single bead sight provides a clean sight picture, and the fixed 13.75-inch length of pull fits most adult shooters comfortably. The gun cycles reliably thanks to Mossberg's gas-operated action, meaning faster follow-up shots and less felt recoil than you'd get from a comparably light side-by-side.
This is a workhorse for upland hunters who appreciate the .410's reduced recoil and mild ballistics—perfect for shooting over pointers and setters, or for younger or recoil-sensitive shooters stepping into the sport. The sport choke set gives you tuning options across your ammunition selection, while the 4+1 capacity keeps rounds in the tube when it matters. Field-proven Mossberg reliability means you'll spend less time worrying about your gun and more time on what matters.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is the Mossberg SA-410 good for upland hunting?
Yes. The lightweight design, compact 26-inch barrel, and mild .410 ballistics make it ideal for upland work over pointing dogs. The fast semi-auto action lets you get a quick second shot if your first doesn't connect, and the 3-inch chamber accepts both standard and magnum loads so you can match your ammunition to conditions and game.
What chokes come with this shotgun?
The SA-410 Field ships with a sport choke set, which gives you flexibility to tune your patterns across different loads and distances.
Is this gun suitable for youth or recoil-sensitive shooters?
The .410 bore generates significantly less recoil than 20-gauge or 12-gauge shotguns, and the semi-automatic action further softens felt recoil through its gas-operated system. At 6.5 pounds with a fixed 13.75-inch length of pull, it fits most adult frames well; you should verify the length of pull suits your shooter before purchase.
What sight setup does it have?
The SA-410 Field features a single bead sight mounted on the ventilated rib, providing a clean, fast sight picture for hunting and sport shooting.
