Setup is straightforward: the Gen3 mounts to rifle-length receiver extensions and works with mil-spec and A5-length carbine tubes (using standard castle nuts and end plates, sold separately). The cant- and height-adjustable rubber butt-pad absorbs recoil and grips your shoulder to prevent slippage, while steel adjustment shafts finished in melonite resist wear and corrosion. Magpul's hard-coat anodized aluminum construction handles the punishment—the reinforced butt-plate is rated for recoil up to .50 BMG.
