The Magpul PMAG GEN M3 30-round magazine is a modern polymer magazine built for AR-15, M4, M16, and a wider range of STANAG 4179-spec rifles than earlier generations. If you run an AR platform—whether it's a straight Colt-spec build, an HK 416, a SCAR, or another compatible platform—the GEN M3 brings next-generation durability and practical features that keep up with serious shooters. Magpul engineered this with enhanced impact and crush resistance, a stainless steel spring rated for long service life, and a geometry that feeds reliably in both peacetime marksmanship and demanding conditions.

What sets the GEN M3 apart is the dual-sided translucent MagLevel window system. Instead of guessing how many rounds are left, you get a clear, at-a-glance view from either side of the magazine. A painted indicator coil on the spring works with numerical markers on the body to show your load state from 1 to 30 rounds—no more fumbling or counting tactilely under pressure. The redesigned floorplate is both easier to strip (tool-free) and thinner than before, so it actually works in tight mag pouches on your rig without sacrificing grip or durability.

The handling is as thoughtful as the internals. Aggressive front and rear texture, combined with ribbed panels, gives you positive control in wet, muddy, or cold conditions. An anti-tilt follower keeps rounds feeding straight and smooth. Paint pen dot-matrix panels on the bottom let you mark mags for quick ID—team training, range days, or duty rotation. An over-travel insertion stop on the spine prevents over-insertion on compatible weapons, while the bolt catch notch has been widened to work cleanly with more receivers. Made in the USA.
