The Magpul MAG517-COY MS1/MS3 QD Sling Adapter is a two to one-point sling conversion system built for AR-15, M4, M16, and AK-platform rifles. If you run your gun in dedicated two-point mode but need the flexibility to go single-point for vehicle work, close-quarters movement, or quick transitions, this adapter lets you switch configurations without swapping slings. Pair it with an MS1 Sling and optional Paraclip to unlock that versatility—it's the kind of modular thinking that separates a rifle setup from a complete system.
The hardware is where Magpul's engineering shows. Heavy-duty manganese-phosphate finished steel and reinforced polymer components handle real use without the weight penalty of overkill. The custom 1.25-inch nylon webbing is woven for strength and comfort, with Near Infrared treatment to lower your IR signature in low-light operations. It's a USA-made piece designed to work hard and last longer than the trends.
Mounting flexibility is the whole point. At the rear, the push-button QD swivel attaches to any standard QD socket on your receiver, end plate, or buttstock for one-point carry. At the front, the optional Paraclip works with Magpul RSA and MSA mounts, forward sling attachments, snap-hook style sling loops (3/8-inch inner diameter minimum; 9/16-inch or larger recommended for full range of motion), or standard QD swivels. This adapter does the conversion work so your rifle doesn't have to choose.
