The Magnum Research Desert Eagle Mark XIX in .50AE is the ultimate large-frame semiautomatic pistol for shooters who demand raw power and precision engineering. Built on a gas-operated rotating bolt platform, the Mark XIX delivers the legendary Desert Eagle experience in a modernized package. With its aluminum frame, stainless steel slide and barrel, and integrated muzzle brake, this is a serious handgun for experienced shooters, hunters, and collectors who appreciate uncompromising American manufacturing.

The .50 Action Express cartridge is no casual round—it's purpose-built for power. The Mark XIX handles it through intelligent design: a 6-inch barrel with polygonal rifling (1:19 twist, 6 lands and grooves) that maximizes velocity and accuracy, paired with the signature rotating bolt system that tames recoil and ensures reliability. The aluminum frame keeps overall weight manageable at 3 lbs. 7 oz., while the stainless steel slide and barrel resist corrosion and wear through heavy use and harsh environments.

Built for customization from the factory, the Mark XIX includes a full Picatinny rail on the frame and a Weaver-style rail for mounting optics, lights, or other tactical accessories. Combat-style fixed sights provide a clean sight picture (8.5-inch radius), and the single-action trigger breaks at approximately 4 pounds. Magazine capacity is 7 rounds, and the gun measures 10.75 inches overall with a 6.25-inch height—substantial, but proportional to its power class.

This is a specialized tool: not a carry gun, not a beginner's pistol, but a platform for precision shooting, hunting, or serious sport competition. The black aluminum frame and stainless slide deliver a purposeful, minimalist aesthetic that's as functional as it is striking.

Frequently Asked Questions

What optics and accessories can I mount on the Desert Eagle Mark XIX?

The Mark XIX ships with a full Picatinny rail on the frame and a Weaver-style accessory rail, giving you flexibility to add red dots, magnified optics, lights, lasers, or other tactical equipment. Any Picatinny- or Weaver-compatible mounting system will work.

Is the Desert Eagle Mark XIX suitable for hunting?

Yes. The .50 A.E. cartridge and 6-inch barrel are designed for power and accuracy at hunting distances. This is a specialized platform for hunters who value the stopping power and distinctive performance of the .50AE round.

What does the integral muzzle brake do?

The integral muzzle brake helps manage recoil and muzzle rise, making the gun easier to control during rapid fire and improving follow-up shot accuracy. It's built into the design, not an aftermarket accessory.

How much does the Desert Eagle Mark XIX weigh?

Empty (without a loaded magazine), the Mark XIX weighs 3 lbs. 7 oz. The aluminum frame keeps it relatively manageable for a large-frame .50AE semiautomatic, though it remains a substantial, purpose-built pistol.
