The LWRC International IC DI Standard AR-15 is a purpose-built 5.56 NATO rifle engineered for shooters who demand reliability and precision without compromise. Built on LWRC's reputation for quality direct-impingement systems, this 16-inch rifle strikes the balance between portability and velocity that makes it equally at home on the range, in the field, or as a duty platform. The IC DI Standard arrives ready to shoot with a complete feature set that reflects LWRC's attention to detail in every component.
The heart of this rifle is LWRC's cold-hammer-forged, spiral-fluted barrel with 1:7 right-hand rifling and NiCorr treatment for corrosion resistance and longevity. Gas delivery is handled by a NiCorr-treated direct-impingement gas block and tube tuned for reliable cycling. The upper receiver is a one-piece monoforge design that pairs with a fully ambidextrous lower—mag release, bolt catch and release, and safety selector all operable from either side—making this rifle equally friendly to left- and right-handed shooters. The modular one-piece free-float rail eliminates the need for hand guards and gives you a clean, predictable platform for optics or accessories.
Controls throughout are intuitive and combat-proven. The ambidextrous charging handle, angled ergonomic fore grip with QD sling attachment, and Magpul MOE+ grip deliver natural positioning and confidence when you need it. The compact stock rides on a mil-spec 6-position buffer tube with H2 buffer and mil-spec spring—a proven setup that balances reliability and shootability. LWRC's advanced trigger guard complements the controls without getting in the way. All receiver and rail surfaces receive Type III hard-coat anodize for durability and corrosion resistance. The rifle ships with a Magpul PMAG and an A2 flash hider with 1/2 x 28 TPI muzzle threads, ready for suppressors or other muzzle devices. At 6.6 pounds and collapsible to 32 inches, this is a rifle built for people who actually use their AR-15s.

Frequently Asked Questions
What makes the IC DI different from other AR-15s?
LWRC's IC DI platform centers on a direct-impingement gas system with meticulous attention to component quality and integration. The cold-hammer-forged, spiral-fluted barrel, NiCorr-treated gas system, monoforge upper receiver, and one-piece free-float rail distinguish this rifle. It's built for shooters who prioritize reliability, accuracy, and long-term durability over aftermarket upgrades.
Can I use this rifle left-handed?
Yes. The IC DI Standard is fully ambidextrous—the safety selector, mag release, bolt catch and release, and charging handle all function from either side. The angled fore grip includes a QD sling point, and the compact stock also features a QD attachment, making this rifle equally capable for left- and right-handed shooters.
What's included in the box?
The rifle ships with a Magpul PMAG magazine and an A2 flash hider already installed. The compact stock has a QD sling point, and the angled fore grip also includes QD mounting, so you can quickly attach a sling. The muzzle threads are 1/2 x 28 TPI, which accommodates most common suppressors and muzzle devices.
Is this rifle compatible with standard AR-15 accessories?
The IC DI accepts standard Magpul PMAG magazines and is built on a mil-spec lower receiver with standard controls, making it compatible with most AR-15 accessories. The modular one-piece free-float rail provides a solid platform for optics and accessories. The 1/2 x 28 TPI muzzle threads are standard for 5.56 NATO rifles.
