The Kel-Tec P17 is a lightweight .22LR pistol built for shooters who want serious capability in a genuinely pocketable package. At under 14 ounces fully loaded and barely longer than a standard dollar bill, this compact rimfire handles like a full-size duty pistol but disappears into a bag, belt, or coat pocket. It's an ideal first pistol for new shooters learning fundamentals, a trusted training tool for experienced marksmen working on precision without burning through centerfire ammo, or a low-recoil option for anyone who just wants a reliable .22LR on hand.

The P17 doesn't skimp on features for its size. A threaded barrel lets you suppress the already-mild report or thread on muzzle devices, while the Picatinny rail gives you mounting flexibility for lights or lasers. Ambidextrous controls—safety and magazine release—work for lefty and righty shooters alike. The 10-round magazine ships standard, and the adjustable rear sight paired with a fiber optic front sight keeps you focused downrange. The trigger breaks clean at a manageable 3 pounds, and the overall design keeps your shots honest at practical distances.

Whether you're introducing a new shooter to the sport, maintaining marksmanship skills without centerfire costs, or carrying a capable backup that weighs almost nothing, the P17 delivers .22LR reliability in a form factor that actually stays with you.

Yes. The integrated Picatinny-style rail lets you attach lights, lasers, or compatible optics for upgraded sighting options.
