The Heritage Mfg Rough Rider 6.5" .22LR revolver is a single-action rimfire option built for plinking, small-game hunting, and backyard range time without the recoil or noise of centerfire cartridges. Its aluminum alloy frame paired with a steel blued barrel and cylinder keeps weight down to 33.4 oz—light enough for a day in the field or casual carry—while the open fixed notch sights let you focus on accuracy at modest distances. The six-round cylinder chambers .22 LR, making ammo affordable and fun for shooters who want to log trigger time without breaking the bank.
This revolver wears a simulated case-hardened finish and laminate camo grips that nod to classic Western aesthetics while delivering genuine durability for outdoor use. The single-action mechanism is straightforward and reliable; a 6 lb trigger pull breaks cleanly for precision shooting. At 11.785 inches overall, it strikes a practical balance between handling and sight radius—suitable for anyone learning revolver fundamentals or looking for a low-pressure range companion.
Heritage Mfg kept maintenance simple here. The blued steel and aluminum construction resists corrosion with minimal fuss, and the .22 LR cartridge leaves little carbon mess compared to magnum loads. Whether you're zeroing your marksmanship, introducing a new shooter to revolvers, or just enjoying a quiet afternoon at the range, the Rough Rider delivers no-frills, time-tested revolver behavior at an accessible price point.
