The Henry X-Model .410ga lever action shotgun brings a timeless action to one of the most versatile rimfire-class gauges available. This 19.8" barrel gun chambers 2.5" shells in a compact, handy package that weighs just 7.5 lbs—making it natural for upland hunting, small-game control, or backyard marksmanship where a full-size 12 or 20 gauge feels like overkill. The lever action feeds smoothly from a 5-round tube, giving you quick follow-up shots without the manual cycling of a pump or the timing required of an over-under.

Henry's X-Model platform builds on generations of lever-gun know-how, but modernizes where it counts. The black synthetic stock and pistol grip give you a platform that's easy to maintain and ready for hard use. A fiber optic front bead helps you pick up the sight picture quickly in variable light—essential when birds flush or targets appear in timber. The smooth-bore barrel handles the included Invector-style choke for pattern control, and the gun ships with a screw-in large choke option so you can tune your shot spread to the range and load you're running.

This isn't your grandfather's .410; it's built for shooters who value reliability, simplicity, and the fun factor of a gun that doesn't punish but still puts pellets downrange with authority. The transfer bar safety keeps things secure while the large loop lever lets you operate the gun with gloves or heavy clothing. Drilled and tapped for optics with Weaver-pattern mounting, it's equally at home on the bench, in the field, or at the clays course. Black rubber recoil pad and swivel studs come standard.

Frequently Asked Questions

What ammunition does the Henry X-Model .410 shoot?

The rifle chambers 2.5" .410 shells only—not 3" or other lengths. Make sure to run factory 2.5" ammunition.

Can I mount an optic or red dot on this shotgun?

Yes. The receiver is drilled and tapped for Weaver-pattern mounts (63B). You'll need a compatible Weaver or Picatinny scope base and rings, which are sold separately.

What's included in the box?

The gun ships with a screw-in large choke and the fiber optic bead front sight pre-installed.

Is the Henry X-Model good for small-game hunting?

The .410 with a lever action is well-suited to upland birds, rabbits, and light varmint control where a larger gauge isn't necessary. The compact 19.8" barrel and lightweight frame make it easy to carry in brush, and the 5-round magazine gives you a reasonable number of follow-up shots.
