The Henry Truckers Tribute Edition .22 S/L/LR lever action rifle combines classic American design with practical versatility—a modern take on a timeless action that appeals to rimfire hunters, small-game shooters, and anyone who appreciates honest, reliable firearms. Built on Henry Repeating Arms' proven lever-action platform and chambered in .22 (accepting Short, Long, and Long Rifle cartridges interchangeably), this rifle delivers the accuracy and handling characteristics that made lever guns legendary, scaled down to a cartridge that's easy on the wallet and forgiving for shooters of all skill levels.

What sets this Tribute Edition apart is its aesthetic: American walnut furniture in a warm, natural brown finish paired with nickel and blued metalwork that nods to classic trucking culture and vintage Americana. At 20 inches, the barrel strikes a balance between sight radius and maneuverability—short enough to swing through brush or from a vehicle, long enough to wring out the performance .22 rimfire is capable of. The rifle carries 16 rounds of .22 LR (or 21 of .22 Short), giving you plenty of trigger time between reloads. At 6.75 pounds, it's light enough for all-day carrying whether you're working predator control, hunting rabbits and squirrels, or just enjoying trigger time at the range.

The adjustable semi-buckhorn sights with a beaded front offer a refined sight picture for offhand shooting and provide flexibility if you want to add optics later. The lever action itself demands deliberate, smooth operation—there's no button to push, no safety to forget. If you grew up with a Henry or respect the mechanical elegance of a lever gun, or you're new to rifles and want something that encourages good habits, this .22 is a gateway to that world.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I shoot .22 Short and .22 Long in this rifle, or just .22 LR?

This Henry accepts .22 Short, .22 Long, and .22 Long Rifle cartridges—you can switch between them without any modification. The magazine capacity is 16 rounds of .22 LR or 21 rounds of .22 Short, so there's flexibility in what you load depending on your needs and what's available.

What's the sight picture like, and can I add a scope?

The rifle comes with adjustable semi-buckhorn sights featuring a beaded front sight, which deliver a crisp, traditional sight picture suitable for small-game hunting and casual shooting. The receiver design supports mounting optics if you prefer a scope, though we'd recommend consulting Henry's documentation or a gunsmith for compatible mounting solutions.

Is this rifle suitable for hunting small game?

Yes. The .22 rimfire is a standard choice for hunting rabbits, squirrels, and other small game. The 20-inch barrel and 6.75-pound weight make it easy to carry through brush, and the lever action is reliable and intuitive in the field.

How does the lever action work compared to a modern semi-automatic .22?

The lever action requires you to cycle the lever for each shot—it's manual operation, not self-loading. Many shooters prefer this for the mechanical engagement and simplicity, and there's no battery or complex gas system to maintain. It's reliable, rugged, and encourages disciplined, deliberate shooting.
