The Henry Long Ranger lever action rifle in .223 Rem/5.56 NATO brings a classic platform to a modern cartridge—a uncommon and practical combination for shooters who want the reliability and smooth handling of a lever gun in a high-velocity, flat-shooting caliber. Built by Henry Repeating Arms, the Long Ranger (Model H014-223) splits the difference between tradition and tactical versatility, making it equally at home on the range, in the field hunting medium game, or as a capable modern rifle for shooters who prefer the lever action platform.

With a 20-inch round blued-steel barrel and 1:9 twist rate, the Long Ranger delivers solid velocity and accuracy in its caliber class. The rifle comes drilled and tapped for scope mounts—no iron sights here—so you'll want to pair it with quality glass for your intended use. The five-round removable magazine keeps reloading quick and practical, while the American walnut stock and hard-anodized black receiver give it a timeless appearance that won't look out of place in any setting. At 7 pounds and 40.5 inches overall, it's nimble enough to carry all day without fatigue.

Henry includes a scope mount and hammer extension in the box, thoughtful touches that show they understand what shooters actually need to get this rifle into action. The transfer-bar safety is smooth and intuitive, and the rubber recoil pad on the buttstock keeps things comfortable during shooting sessions. Swivel studs are fitted for sling attachment, and the 14-inch length of pull suits most adult shooters. This is a rifle for folks who appreciate lever action mechanics and want something genuinely different—not a trendy alternative, but a functional, well-made tool that does real work.
