The Henry H015Y-20 is a single-shot youth shotgun built for young shooters stepping into clay sports, upland hunting, or casual shooting sports. With a 26-inch barrel and a lightweight 6.74 lb frame, it's scaled for smaller frames without sacrificing the functionality or durability Henry is known for. The 20-gauge chamber handles standard 3-inch shells, delivering enough performance for most shooting scenarios while keeping recoil manageable—a real asset when teaching safe gun handling to the next generation.

This shotgun pairs American walnut furniture with blued steel throughout, giving it a clean, classic look that feels right in the field or at the range. The rebounding hammer is a traditional safety feature that keeps the gun secure when it matters. A generous black rubber recoil pad absorbs impact and protects shoulders during longer shooting sessions. The 13-inch length of pull is designed with youth shooters in mind, so there's no awkward reach or uncomfortable stock geometry.

The 26-inch barrel sports a modified choke and brass bead front sight for quick target acquisition. Single-shot operation means each shot is deliberate—ideal for teaching fundamentals and building confidence before moving to semi-auto or repeating designs. Three shells are included to get you started straight out of the box.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this shotgun good for teaching young shooters?

Yes. The 13-inch length of pull, lighter weight, and manageable 20-gauge recoil make this an excellent teaching platform. Single-shot operation keeps the focus on fundamentals—stance, sight picture, and trigger control—rather than on cycling rounds.

Can I hunt upland birds or clay targets with the H015Y-20?

Absolutely. The modified choke and 26-inch barrel are well suited to both upland game birds and clay target shooting. The 20-gauge with 3-inch shells provides adequate energy for these pursuits.

What's included with this shotgun?

Three shells are included to get you started. You'll need to purchase additional ammunition separately.

Is the length of pull adjustable?

The fixed 13-inch length of pull is designed for youth shooters. It is not adjustable. If the shooter grows significantly, a longer-pull model may eventually be needed.
