The Henry Silver Eagle 2nd Edition is a .22 S/L/LR lever action rifle that bridges classic American rifle heritage with practical, modern reliability. This 2nd Edition version pairs a nickel receiver with a blued barrel and lever for a distinctive two-tone appearance, finished in brown to complement the fancy American walnut furniture. Whether you're introducing a young shooter to lever guns, plinking at the range, or hunting small game, the Silver Eagle delivers smooth, intuitive operation in a package that handles all three .22 rimfire variants without adjustment.

The 20-inch barrel strikes a balance between velocity and handling in tight brush or around the homestead. At 38.5 inches overall and chambered for .22 Short, .22 Long, and .22 LR, the rifle feeds seamlessly between common ammunition types—a real advantage when you grab whatever's in the box. The 16-round capacity gives you sustained trigger time before reloading, and the wood-to-metal ratio feels substantial in your hands, not like a toy rimfire.

Sights are no-nonsense: a Marbles adjustable rear sight and brass bead front sight keep things simple and field-proven. No modern Picatinny rail means fewer bolt-ons, and plenty of room for a scope mount if you want precision at distance. The lever action points naturally, cycles fast with practice, and the walnut stock ages beautifully—this is a rifle you'll hand down, not throw away.

Henry Repeating Arms built the Silver Eagle for shooters who value tradition, reliability, and honest gunsmithing. If you're after a .22 lever gun that looks as good as it performs, the Silver Eagle 2nd Edition earns its place in your safe.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I shoot .22 Short and .22 Long in this rifle, or just .22 LR?

The Henry Silver Eagle chambers all three: .22 Short, .22 Long, and .22 LR. No conversion kit or adjustment needed—just load and shoot. This versatility is one of the rifle's biggest strengths, especially if you reload or buy whatever .22 ammo is available.

Does this rifle come with a scope mount?

No scope mount is included, but the top of the receiver accepts standard scope rings and mounts. The iron sights (Marbles adjustable rear and brass bead front) are factory-installed and work well for hunting and plinking out of the box.

What's the difference between the 2nd Edition and earlier Silver Eagle models?

We don't have specific details on changes between generations, but this is the current 2nd Edition from Henry Repeating Arms. Contact Henry or an authorized dealer if you need a detailed comparison.

Is this rifle suitable for hunting small game?

Yes. The .22 LR chambering and 20-inch barrel make it a classic small-game and varmint rifle. The lever action is quick to aim and re-engage targets, and the adjustable rear sight lets you dial in accuracy at hunting distances.
