The Henry .450 Bushmaster single-shot rifle combines classic American gunmaking with practical stopping power for big game hunters and dedicated marksmen. This Model H015450 pairs a robust blued-steel barrel and receiver with a walnut stock, delivering the kind of build quality Henry is known for—simple, reliable, and built to last. The .450 Bushmaster cartridge brings serious energy to bear on larger game, making this rifle an excellent choice for hunters who want a purpose-built platform for hunting large game or those who appreciate the precision discipline of single-shot shooting.
The 22-inch round barrel is threaded with a 1:20 twist, optimized for .450 Bushmaster ammunition. The rifle comes drilled and tapped for scope mounting (Weaver 82 standard), giving you flexibility to mount your preferred optic for longer-range work. Iron sights—a brass-bead front and fully adjustable folding-leaf rear—are included, so you can shoot right out of the box if you choose. The open-sight setup is quick and reliable for hunting in brush or timber where a rifle scope might not be necessary.
Handling is straightforward: the rebounding hammer is safe and simple to operate, and the single-shot action keeps you focused and deliberate with every round. The American walnut stock feels right in your hands and will age beautifully with use. Swivel studs are fitted for a sling, and the black rubber recoil pad absorbs the .450 Bushmaster's punch without complaint. At 7.18 pounds with a 37.5-inch overall length and 14-inch length of pull, the rifle balances pointability with control—equally at home in a field stand or on the rifle range.
If you're serious about big game hunting and respect the single-shot tradition, the Henry .450 Bushmaster delivers honest performance without unnecessary complexity.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can I mount a scope on the Henry .450 Bushmaster single-shot rifle?
Yes. The rifle is drilled and tapped for scope mounts using the Weaver 82 standard, so you can mount your choice of riflescope. The rifle also comes with iron sights (brass-bead front and folding-leaf rear) if you prefer open-sight shooting.
What is the .450 Bushmaster cartridge best used for?
The .450 Bushmaster is designed for hunting large game and is known for delivering significant stopping power. It's particularly popular with hunters pursuing larger species where a dedicated cartridge makes a difference.
Is this rifle suitable for beginners?
The single-shot action is straightforward and safe, making it a good platform for shooters who want to focus on fundamentals. The rebounding hammer and simple operation are easy to master. However, the .450 Bushmaster does carry significant recoil, so shooters should be prepared for that and be comfortable handling a rifle in this caliber.
What is the length of pull, and will it fit me?
The length of pull is 14 inches, measured from the back of the trigger to the back of the buttpad. This is a standard size suitable for most adult shooters, though individuals with shorter or longer arms may want to check fit before purchasing.
